Violence Prevention and Crisis Intervention

Partner Assault Response Program - Spousal, Partner, Victim Contact

Rexdale Women's Centre maintains regular contact with PAR clients' victims from when they receive the referral until they complete the PAR course. Staff members connect the victims with appropriate services based on their needs and interests.

Every situation is different for these complex family dynamics, but many victims have shared feedback that they noticed positive changes in their partner's behaviour after completing the PAR program.

Partner Assault Response (PAR)
Program Groups

Ending violence against women involves working with and educating men about the different forms of abuse, the effects of violence on children, the pattern of violent behaviour and developing alternatives to physical, emotional and financial abuse. Rexdale Women's Centre offers groups for court-mandated offenders to better understand the consequences and impact of violence against women, work on accepting responsibility for their violent behaviour and to develop strategies to deal with anger.
