Women need support and advice in difficult in order to make informed decisions because they may lack the information needed or guidance in order to overcome their personal obstacles and crisis. Without critical pieces of Information, women often lack the self-esteem to make the decisions that are right for them. The Rexdale Women's Centre's staff provides linguistically, culturally sensitive and appropriate support to women when they encounter difficulties in moving ahead.

Violence Against Women and Girls and Crisis Intervention Program

The Violence Against Women and Girls and Crisis Intervention program offers crucial support to women and girls facing abuse, intimate partner violence, and those involved in trafficking. The services provided include intimate partner violence support, crisis counselling, medical and legal referrals, and client accompaniment. Additionally, the program organizes support and healing groups for women experiencing domestic violence, anti-human trafficking initiatives for vulnerable women and relationship groups to foster healthy connections.

The program marks significant events each year, raising awareness and commemorating progress. These events include the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, Take Back the Night, Victims of Crime Awareness Week, and Women's History Month.
