On Saturday, September 22, 2018, Rexdale Women's Centre celebrated 40 successful years of service in the community and GTA with our clients, sponsors, donors, supporters and community residents. More than 500 individuals took part in the celebrations attending various activities, shows and games.

Rexdale Women's Centre's own Senior's Choir officially opened the event with O Canada, followed RWC's 40th anniversary video. Three of Rexdale Women's Centre's clients received awards and bursaries: Inspiring Woman Entrepreneur -Career Advancement, Inspiring Youth female and male.

We were pleased to have past board members, honoured guests, local politicians attend the event. We were extremely proud to have honoured speakers: Mr. Daniele Zanotti, President and CEO United Way Greater Toronto, Ms. Debbie Douglas, Executive Director, Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants, and our keynote speaker, Ms. Samra Zafar, Award-Winning International Speaker, Community Leader, Scholar, Author and Entrepreneur speaking on "The Gift of Hope: A Woman's Journey of Oppression to Empowerment".
